Clients
Our charity provides work experience and skills development to adults with learning disabilities through Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH). Research has found that STH helps individuals with a learning disability to develop their health and wellbeing by use of plants and horticulture.
By attending Silver Birch, our clients have the opportunity to undertake work experience in the following areas:
- Production of compost and bark
- Horticulture
- Site maintenance
- Deliveries
- Administration
- Catering
- Retail

Throughout the clients time with Silver Birch we undertake monitor progress, undertake regular reviews and offer a range of training. Support for the clients is provided by experienced support workers and managed by trained learning disability nurses.
If you, or someone you know, would benefit from attending Silver Birch (Scotland) Ltd, please contact Shirley Craig, Team Leader, for an informal discussion about the opportunities and referral process on 0141 777 5050.
